I tried to complete the registration form for the Eyeglasses for Life promotion but encountered a difficulty. While I understand the legal rule for 18 years+, Transitions does not need the day of my birth to ascertain my age; the year is actually all that is needed. That requirement of personal information feels like a marketing strategy, and also feels unnecessary: too much personal information being requested. I guess this precludes participation in the contest. Unfortunate.

I purchased my first pair of High Index seemax12 transitional lenses in Jan.2011.. within a year there was a problem with them, apparently the protective coating on them was all cracked up on them, i was given a new set of lenses at no charge to me. Well , about another year goes by and the same thing happens all over except no replacement lens were provided. I am told by my optometrist that these lenses are “the best of the best” not cheap either— over $1,100 dollars. i am a senior on a fixed income and can not afford to replace these every year.. I believe these lenses should last until i need a new prescription—. feeling ripped off :(
