I am from Minnesota and today was my first time visiting Marshalls, Maryland. I was happy with the sales. The prices were within reach and I would buy from there more often. I appreciated the customer service also. Good enough for a first day visit. :)

There were not a single week i didn’t shop at Marshalls(Forest/Marsh). Lately I think the management changed and I guess the new big guys or whoever are in charge are overkill/not the right people who know anything about the neighborhood, the residents’ class, their incomes, their style. They’ve never been to their big competitor across them(Burlington for one—)These people are chosen late when the economy is bad or early before it gets better.Their passion is different, they follow their own tastes and drove Marshalls to the ground.Marshalls is now more of a boutique like in Highland Park neighborhoods than the former store where we abuse our credit cards happily, where we pick 5 to 6 items in one trip. The good old store with rows & rows of jeans, shirts & shoes. Now all those are at Burlington because your new management thinks displaying kayake or filling the shelves with unwanted chips or wasting the already small space with displays of women clothing instead of leaving it on the rack attracts customers.NO! you ain’t got 100K square feet of space to show them all.Who goes there looking for a kayake or chips? Who cares you you make it clean as a dentist place?
I passed by there today, after 3 months and there was not even 1 men’s jacket. No shoes on clearance that’s under size 13. These people think they’re restructuring a GM plant or what?
