WalMart Deli Meat Recall Information

 

Did you purchase Go deli sandwiches at WalMart store recently? If yes, please stop eating them and return it to the store because Zemco Industries anounced yestoday that they have launched a nationwide recall of 380,000 pounds of deli meat sold in Wal-Mart sandwiches.

The reason of recall is that the meat possibly contaminated with a strain of potentially deadly bacteria, according to the US Department of Agriculture.

Following is the Wal-Mart statement:

“Upon learning of a voluntary recall conducted by our supplier Zemco Industries, Inc., of supermarket deli sandwich meat used in select Marketside Grab and Go deli sandwiches, we immediately instructed stores to remove the impacted product from shelves.”

The recall does not involve individual packages of deli meat and you can get a refund on Marketside Grab and Go sandwiches with a sell by date of Aug. 25, 2010 or prior.

    I purchase 3o to 35 $ a week of your deli meats & cheeses. Last three visits there wasn’t any super sharp cheese. I buy 1# a week or at least I was.
