We filed on line on April, 1, 2015 and our refund was accepted and has been in processing since we started checking over two months ago. What makes it worse is my husband paid our State taxes on line but somehow got on the wrong site and paid that to the Federal Government. We did not know that until we got a notice from the State and billed an additional late fee. We paid it that day but we requested a paper from the Federal Government that shows they owe us our refund as well as the amount that we incorrectly sent them. That was dated April 24, 2015. However, it is now July, 23 and we still have not received any of our money. We keep checking on line for even just the amount owed to us on the tax refund, but all it ever shows is that it is being processed. Why is it taking so long?
