Now check out the website http://efstatus.taxact.com, and enter your Social Security Number and Federal Refund Amount/Amount Due from your Federal return, you can review the TaxACT e-file status for your Federal and State returns, such as 1040 Returns and Business (1065,1120,1120S) Returns.

Please notice:

The IRS will begin the processing of electronically filed returns on Tuesday, January 17th, 2012.

In order for your return to be considered timely filed by the IRS, you will need to submit your return electronically by April 17, 2012 at midnight.

If you requested a Federal tax-filing extension, you will need to submit your return to the IRS by Thursday, October 15th, 2012.

    I have had good luck in the past but so far this year haven’t even gotten an acceptance on the state . I filed them on Jan. 26, still waiting and wondering what’s going on. My federal got accepted a week ago.

    all of you should go back to tax act and go threw your safty alerts could be your error someting you didnt sign you may have put in a wrong number for your employee id number could be something simple you over looked

    i owed the IRS some money and had plenty to pay them but i am trying to figure out where my refund is and still waiting to hear back and i believe that because i owr them that the amount im putting in is wrong due to the back taxes! COULD YOU HELP ME???

    I received an email stating my tax return was rejected. Since my computer crashed I cannot retrieve my 2011 return, hence cannot give accurate filing figures with required information. What to do?

    I completed and sent both the federal and state returns on Jan 22 , both were excepted but have not received any emails saying that the state and fedral have excepted them.
