Purchase a new Verizon Wireless phone recently? You might be going to a local Verizon store to activate your phone. However, there is a better way, you can go to www.verizonwireless.com to activate your phone online for free. In just a few simple steps, you can start to use your new phone.

1. Go to www.verizonwireless.com, sign in your “My Verizon” account with your username or cell phone number and password. If you have not registered, click here sign up now!

2. After login, look for the “Activate My Phone” link under the “My Services” section. Click on the link, then you can start your activation process.

3. In the next page, you need to enter your 8-digit ESN (Electronic Serial Number) or 14-digit MEID (Mobile Equipment Identifier) number. You can find  the number on the back of your phone underneath the battery. Enter the number and click on the “submit” button.

You have done all the work, and wait for your request to be processed. You can dial *228 (option #1) 15 minutes later to see if you have successfully activated your phone. If yes, you can hear the “Your phone has been programed successfully” message. You can start to use your new phone now!
